PEARSON BTEC LEVEL 3 NATIONAL EXTENDED CERTIFICATE IN APPLIED PSYCHOLOGY

 

The BTEC National Extended Certificate in Applied Psychology is intended to be an applied general qualification for Post-16 learners wanting to continue their education through applied learning, and who aim to progress to higher education and ultimately to employment. The qualification is equivalent in size to one A Level and can be studied as one third of a typical study programme alongside other A-Levels or other applied general subjects.

 

  

 

 

Course Content

The Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Applied Psychology consists of three mandatory units and one other unit; equivalent in size to one A Level. 

Units will be studied over two years:

  • Psychological approaches and applications(M)
  • Conducting Psychological Research(M)
  • Health Psychology(M)
  • Criminal and Forensic Psychology(O)

 

 Entry Requirements A range of Level 2 qualifications including a B in English (or comparable subject) and a C in Maths. 
 Assessment This qualification is assessed through assignment /course work /external assessments.
